Cakes d’Licious is a Vintage Tearoom and Cakery in York

Our first tearoom is just off Clifton Green and in September 2016 we were delighted to open our second Cakes d’Licious on Main Street, Bishopthorpe!

Our opening times for Cakes d’Licious, Clifton are Mon-Sat, 8am – 5pm, but please be aware these are subject to change during the school holidays (usually opening at 9am and closing slightly earlier). We are closed on bank holidays.

Please click here for our Bishopthorpe Tearoom opening times.

We are a small family run business and our aim is to provide you with a true vintage experience. We serve a variety of loose teas, barista coffees, hot chocolates, vintage cold drinks and milkshakes. You can find a huge selection of home made cakes baked on the premises as well as a range of hot and cold lunches on sale. We proudly serve our Vintage Afternoon Tea which includes freshly prepared sandwiches, crisps, salad, mouth watering scones, strawberry jam, fresh cream and a selection of cakes. We have both and tearoom and take away menu and tables can be booked by calling 01904 541100.

We also have an outside catering service. From business lunches to weddings we can provide for you. Please get in touch by emailing

Nikki, the owner and manager of Cakes d’Licious, also makes beautiful bespoke cakes to order. Please see the ‘cakes’ page of our website.

Since opening in October 2012 we have have been a finalist in the VisitYork Tearoom of the year awards and have won two certificate of excellence awards from TripAdvisor. We are currently the top rated place to eat in Clifton on TripAdvisor too. (Information correct as of July 2015).
